Muddy Creek Falls - July 4, 2011

This year we spent the 4th of July with Joey and Leann Williams.  We had been dying for a good hike, and found this one to Muddy Creek Falls in Joey's guide book.  We followed the directions there exactly on point, but somehow ended up in the middle of a rocky cow pasture.  No trailhead in sight.  Right about then, a loose leaf note page fell out of the back cover of Joey's book with the words "Updates and Corrections" at the top.  Apparently the misprint had us take a left about 45 miles back on the dirt/gravel instead of a right!  We retraced our path and ended up just as we were suposed to - at a trailhead!

There wasn't a very defined trail, so we ended up back and forth across the creek dozens of times!
That's a pretty narrow canyon - are you sure this is where we're suposed to go?
And more narrow??
Looking like a dead end...
And finally, hidden way back - the falls!  So beautiful!

What a fun day!
