June 2014 - Chance's Birthday Trip

Hey guys! It's summertime - and we're milking the good weather.  Lexie loves being outside.  So much so, in fact, that bringing her inside often evokes a kicking, crying mess.  I know just how she feels.
She loves to visit daddy at his workbench - reloading bullets.
Hubs turned 30 this month!  For his birthday I surprised him with a fishing/paddleboarding/exploring adventure to Georgetown Lake.  I found a cute cabin to rent, and we brought along the Williams for extra fun factor.  We enjoyed a nice steak and seafood dinner for Hubs' birthday, but I forgot the cake at home! Busy mom fail.

The girls...
Hey guys! I'm outside! - She still waves at everything she likes.
Of course, we had to bring the Can Jam.

Getting ready for a day of fishing...

Georgetown Lake is a high elevation, beautiful lake in Southwest Montana.  Highly recommended.
Having some snacks
It was a little chilly, but still such a nice day.
Stand Up Paddleboarding for the first time.... soooo fun!
Every once in a while a boat would come by making us wobbly!  It was sunny, but the water was still cold enough to make us a little nervous about getting spilled!
Loved being able to look down into the water and see the fish!
LeAnn gave it a try also!
Fishing...
Reading with Uncle Joey

Such a cozy cabin!  It had two bedrooms, one bath, and a fully stocked kitchen.  This was so relaxing!

Packing up to head home... Four adults, one baby and three dogs... in one truck!
Not ready to get in the truck again.

On the way home we stopped in Phillipsburg for a little shopping and exploring.  This is the cutest town!

Their old fashioned candy store is huge... and dangerous! :)

After a couple hours in the truck we stopped for a little fishing and walking along the Missouri River Canyon.

We had such a fun weekend!  Georgetown Lake is now highly recommended to all!
